Salty

Salty, San Diego Seals mascot

Salty officially surfaced on a beautiful day on Mission Bay surrounded by family, friends and San Diego sports royalty. His crown of gold was bestowed upon him by NBA Legend and San Diego Native Bill Walton, the color matching the spectacular array of sunshine for which our city is best known.

In Salty, we found the one who will forever be a Southern Californian, who will always be a San Diego Seal. The one who will never be traded, never leave as a free agent, will never bolt in the middle of the night and will never retire.

One of the youngest mascots in the NLL, Salty has a very particular set of skills…skills that he’s acquired over his career…skills that make him a nightmare for opposing teams. Salty is a staple at every Seals home game, performing tricks like no other mascot in sports.

When he’s not entertaining the Pechanga Arena San Diego crowd, Salty is crucial to the community programs of the San Diego Seals, making countless appearances throughout Southern California.
