GAME PREVIEW: SAN DIEGO SEALS VS SASKATCHEWAN RUSH

The San Diego Seals are heading north to face off against the Saskatchewan Rush at the SaskTel Centre on Saturday, March 11 at 5:30pm PT / 8:30pm ET.

This is the third time these two teams have faced off against each other this season, with both the Seals and the Rush taking a win. The first matchup between these two teams was the Seals Home Opener on December 9th which saw the Seals take the win with an insane comeback after trailing 10-3, finishing in overtime with a 12-13 win. However the tide turned in San Diego on February 17th for their second matchup of the season which saw the Rush take the win with a 16-11 final.

The Seals are entering the upcoming match from atop the Western Division, sitting on a 7-2 record. They are most recently coming off of a 15-12 win over the Las Vegas Desert Dogs in the historic Stadium Showdown on March 4. That contest saw an impressive Seals offense, with forwards Curtis Dickson, Dane Dobbie and Casey Jackson all notching hat tricks. Along with three goals, Dickson had six assists, ultimately contributing nine points overall.

The Seals offensive prowess doesn’t stop there. Heading into March 11, Dobbie currently sits at fourth overall in the NLL with 30 goals scored so far this season. Dobbie is also one goal away from 500 career goals. He will be only the seventh player in NLL history to achieve such a feat.

Several other milestones have the potential to be reached in this Saturday’s match. Defenseman and transition player Brodie Merrill is one game away from passing Seals Offensive Coordinator, Josh Sanderson, with 269 games played, which would rank him at #4 in total number of NLL games played. Additionally, forward Austin Staats needs seven more loose ball recoveries to reach 200.

Fans with Seals merch will receive a Buy One Get One sandwich offer at Board & Brew, and can enjoy an extended happy hour deal on beers throughout the game.

The game will be aired locally on The CW, and can be streamed from anywhere live on ESPN+.

The Seals will return home to Pechanga Arena San Diego for Godzilla Night on March 25 as they take on the Buffalo Bandits at 7:00 pm PT.  Get your tickets for this monster-sized match as the Seals pay homage to King of the Monsters and pop culture icon, Godizlla, right here.
