Healthy Habits for 2021

Safe to say 2020 was an unusual year. We caught up with defenseman and mental performance coach Mark Glicini for five healthy habits to practice in 2021.

1 – Make sleep a priority

Sleep is your superpower. Going to bed at a regular time every day, ensuring you are getting enough sleep and sleeping in the righ temperature can make a big impact on your life.

2 – Mindfulness and Intentional Breathing

Being aware of where you’ve been and how far you’ve come. Understanding where you are and where you want to be. Set intentions every day and keep in mind your progress.

3 – Hydration

Research shows that we are 10-20% less productive when we are dehydrated. Try your best to drink half your body weight in ounces every day.

4 – Exercise

One of the oldest people in the world said their secret to living a long, healthy life was to “sweat every day”. Exercise gives you endorphins, helps you feel great and builds self love.

5 – Gratitude Journaling

Research shows that the more grateful you are the more resilient you are in your every day life. Try to write down at least one thing you’re grateful for a day.
