San Diego Seals Name the First Members of the Inaugural Sirens Dance Team

When doors opened at Valley View Casino Center on Saturday morning, dozens of candidates entered in hopes of making the Seals dance team. After hours of dance auditions and interviews, eight candidates were chosen as the first members of the inaugural Sirens squad.

The Sirens dance team features former NFL cheerleaders, professional aerialists and native San Diegans. A unique combination of talent is highlighted by young women eager to meet Seals fans and make an immediate impact in the San Diego community.

Along with the eight members, the Seals announced that the team will be known as the Sirens. The name Sirens comes from ancient Greek mythology representing strength, beauty and danger.
