SEALS ENTER DOUBLEHEADER WEEKEND VS. PANTHER CITY LC AND BUFFALO BANDITS

The Seals enter a doubleheader weekend with 2 back-to-back games vs. Panther City LC and the Buffalo Bandits, with a playoff clench on the line. If the Seals win both games this weekend, they secure a spot in the NLL playoffs beginning in May. But it’s no easy task as the Seals must face the top team in the Eastern Division, the Bandits, in the NLL’s most anticipated matchup of the weekend.

First up this weekend is a road game on Friday, March 24 to take on Panther City at Dickies Arena. Face off is set for 5:30 pm PT. Friday’s game will be the second time the teams will face each other this season. The last time the Seals saw Panther City, they came away with an electric victory after a full-field goal by defenseman Cam Holding secured the win and launched Pechanga Arena into a frenzy.

The Seals are coming off of a big win vs. Vancouver heading into Friday’s match. Forward Wes Berg netted five goals, with forwards Austin Staats and Kevin Crowley collecting two hat tricks apiece. Additionally, forward Curtis Dickson notched two goals, good for his 30th on the season and ultimately contributing to a 16-9 win.

Panther City is also coming off of a win, after having defeated the Las Vegas Desert Dogs 11-8 on March 18. This is the seventh of eight wins this season that PC goalie Nick Damude has let in ten or fewer goals, presenting a bit of a challenge for the Seals heading into Friday’s game.

The game will be aired locally on The CW, and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The Seals will make their immediate return home to face the Buffalo Bandits on Saturday, March 25 at Pechanga Arena San Diego. This is the most anticipated matchup of the NLL this weekend as both teams sit in 1st place of their divisions. Face off will take place at 7 pm PT. The Bandits are coming off of a loss against the Colorado Mammoth on March 18, ending a six-game win streak. Additionally, Saturday’s game against the Seals will be the first time this season the Bandits will travel west to face an opponent this season.

Saturday’s game will be extra special, as the Seals pay homage to the King of Monsters himself for GODZILLA NIGHT. The Seals will rep special edition Godzilla jerseys throughout the duration of the game, which are being auctioned off to fans. The night will be full of Godzilla-themed entertainment, and will conclude with a special postgame screening of Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla on the jumbotron.

Saturday’s game will be aired on ESPNEWS, and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
