Nicole

2nd Season
Nicole
  1. Where is your hometown? Dallas, Texas.
  2. When did you start dancing? I started ballet and tap just before turning three years old. Moved on to jazz, lyrical, modern, and hip hop. Transitioned to drill team and cheer in middle and high school. During college, I took a couple dance classes, joined a hip hop group called Project Fresh, and participated in Filipino cultural dancing as well. I took an almost decade long break from dance during big life transitions and grad school but found my way back to dance after a serious car accident. I began taking classes at Culture Shock and felt myself coming back to life. From there I joined a semi-pro basketball dance team and never looked back. Dance for me is both a safe space to express myself and also a way to step out of my comfort zone.
  3. What’s your favorite part about being a Siren? Being able to dance and perform alongside insanely talented and genuinely supportive women is such a dream. The way that these ladies yell and cheer in support from the sidelines when we perform in small groups at rehearsal is incredibly empowering! Plus, the dance training from Coach Tea is next-level.
  4. What are you studying/did you study in school? I received my B.A. in Psychology & M.S in Occupational Therapy.
  5. What’s your dream job? I recently heard that a “Vacation Tester” is a job, and that honestly sounds ideal right about now! On a more serious note, I do really appreciate the jobs that I hold right now: NLL dancer, Occupational Therapist, and Mom!
  6. What’s one thing on your bucket list? Create a passive income and build a home/have a property here in California that could accommodate all of my family members.
  7. If you could be on any TV show, what would it be? Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. The musical numbers and productions would be so fun!
  8. What would your walk-up song be? Miracles by Benny Sings, Emily King and Peter CottonTale.
  9. If you could switch lives with a celebrity for a day, who would it be? Mindy Kaling.
  10. If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why? Teleportation or mind-reading!
