2024 Gameday Ops Crew
Description
Gameday Operations consists of a highly enthusiastic crew of individuals who are energetic about promoting the San Diego Seals and helping assist the overall team function before and throughout the season. Members are expected to maintain the highest level of professionalism and personal appearance in the role at all times. Candidates should be motivated, passionate and driven individuals that are seeking hands-on experience in a fast-paced, interactive, and professional sports environment.
Responsibilities
Assist team operations department with various tasks associated with pre-season preparation, training camps, gameday load-in and setup, in-game promotions and activations, fan experience, and other game-day and community outreach functions.
- Wed, October 30th – Sat, November 2nd: Training Camp Weekend 1
- Fri, November 8th – Sat, November 9 th: Training Camp Weekend 2
- Fri, November 15th – Sat, November 16th: Training Camp Weekend 3
- Early December – Late April: Regular Season
- Late April – Late May: Postseason
- TBD: Additional Team-Related Events and Practices
Regular Duties/Roles
- Driving players in 12-15 passenger vans locally in San Diego for practices/morning shootarounds/games
- Load in coolers, chests, tables, food, and drinks for practices & gamedays
- Prepare locker rooms (Seals, visitors, referees)

Provide support to departments, such as marketing, corporate partnerships,
merchandising and game presentation for the following:
- Prepare VIP Seating Area (The Cove)
- Install & breakdown dasher board signage
- Set up and organize merchandise at the Team Store
- Assist in the setup/breakdown of tailgates
- Handing out promotional giveaway items
- Set up the DJ booth and video backdrop banner
- Provide support to Equipment Manager & Athletic Trainer
- Prepare press dining & press box
- Penalty Box Attendants
- Credential/Check-In Table
- Statistician Spotters & Runners
- Provide Support to Concourse/Ticket Sales
- All other jobs/tasks assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field with experience in athletic or event operations/management.
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Professional demeanor with the ability to speak with internal and external contacts
- Ability to develop rapport and maintain relationships
- Ability to collaborate and work well with others
- Mastery of multitasking on a grand scale
- Ability to work mornings, nights, and/or weekends
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, react quickly and have superior problem-solving skills.
- Must be dependable and maintain a positive approach
