The San Diego Seals will take on West Conference rival Las Vegas Desert Dogs on Saturday, April 22 at Pechanga Arena San Diego. Face off is set for 7 pm PT.

Saturday’s game is the Seals’ annual cancer awareness night, Stick Up for a Cure, presented by Kings & Convicts and benefiting the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Rady Children’s Hospital here in San Diego. In accordance with this magical night, the players will be repping special customized jerseys featuring the names of individuals who have been impacted by cancer. The jerseys will then be presented to the aforementioned individuals and their families immediately following the game.

This will be the final of three times this season that the Seals and Desert Dogs will face one another. The Seals came away victorious in the previous two games, and are looking to sweep the season series on Saturday.

The Seals are coming off of a 15-14 loss against the Colorado Mammoth last Friday at Ball Arena. Despite the loss, the team fought hard and put up impressive numbers. Forward Wes Berg came away with a sock trick, and forwards Austin Staats and Dane Dobbie netted three goals apiece. Additionally, Saturday was defenseman and transition player Brodie Merrill’s 278th game, moving him up on the list to third all-time in NLL games played.

The Desert Dogs also fell to their opponent last Friday, losing 12-7 to the Calgary Roughnecks. Despite a seven-goal first half, a severe second half dry spell ultimately cost Vegas the game.

San Diego has clinched both a spot in playoffs and a Quarterfinal home playoff game on May 5. However, Saturday’s game will still determine the Seals’ seeding heading into the postseason. San Diego will clinch first place in the West with either a win against the Desert Dogs on Saturday or Panther City coming away with a win against Calgary on Friday.

This game will also be Berg’s 100th career match.

Tickets for Saturday’s game are available here. For those unable to make it, the game will be streamed live on ESPN+ and locally on Fox 5 San Diego.
